IG-CSG succeeds SMP-Cell in NGFNplus 26.02.2008    author: Stefan Wiemann    co-authors:

Starting in 2008, the SMP-Cell will be succeeded by the Integrated Genome Network - Cellular Systems Genomics (http://www.igcsg.org). This collaborative project aims at elucidating protein networks that are relevant in breast cancer development and progression. High-throughput functional genomics, high-end microscopy, and quantitative proteomics will enhance our understanding of key mechanisms in signaling processes, with focus on estrogen signaling and interacting pathways. The Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) announced the implementation of the NGFNplus funding scheme (press release) as well as the list of funded projects in a press release on November 27, 2007.
